ChickenHawk politicians have brought the senseless slaughter of hundreds of thousands of Iraqi civilians. 4000 American veterans won't  be coming home, and tens of thousands are wounded for life. All of this is for oil theft, war profiteering, genocide, consolidation of corporate power over the American citizenry, and Likudnik expansionism.

What is stunning is that there is still a handful of folks who believe the official propaganda spewing out of the White House. It takes impressive powers of self-delusion to commit an act of double-thing of such magnitude.

There is wide support in Congress for this act of naked imperialism, they only disagree in HOW the imperial war is being waged. If the Democrats were truly against the occupation, they'd cut off funding in a heartbeat.

But they have corporate and foreign masters to serve, too, ordering them to continue and expand the permanent occupation of the Middle East, regardless of the cost in lives and treasure and in damage to our country.
